How long have you been interested in the paranormal?
I have been interested in the paranormal for as long as I can remember.
What started this interest?
My early fascination stemmed from hearing chilling ghost stories told around the campfire during my years as a Girl Scout. I had the coolest
troop leader who actually claimed to have grown up next door to a haunted house. I delighted in her stories, even if they did keep me awake
at night, suffocating under my sleeping bag.
I also spent many years visiting my grandparents at their Gloucester summer retreat, a century old house, which has played host to some
spine-tingling unexplained phenomena. I have heard so many first-hand accounts that I honestly believe that the house is, in fact, haunted.
I am utterly intrigued by the possibility that my great, great uncle may still be there, keeping watch over his house.
My interest in the ‘unexplained’ continues to evolve. I’ve always been a huge fan of Halloween and all the haunted TV documentaries that
the season encourages. I love reading about New England true hauntings and because of the ever-increasing popularity of ‘ghost tours’, I
often find myself seeking out the local haunted history whenever I’m visiting a new city. The most memorable tours were in New Orleans, LA
and Nantucket, MA.
How did you become involved with New England Paranormal?
I attended a BCAE class taught by Steve back in April. I followed up with an email explaining my interest.
When you go on an investigation what do you expect? What don't you expect?
I’m not a field investigator at this time. I’m currently doing research for the team, in an effort to help obtain any/all background
information that will aid them in their investigations.
If someone wants to get involved with Paranormal Research/Investigations, what would you suggest to them?
Attend a class on the subject, read books and ask a lot of questions of someone who is already a member of a reputable paranormal
research group.
