Carriage Ghost
Probably in the 19th century a young woman got married.
On her wedding day her carriage flipped, tossing and killing her. I'm not sure if her husband was with her at the time or not or if he died.
This was April 26. The story went that every anniversary she would walk New Braintree
cemetery looking for her husband. When my mom was 16 her and her friends decided to check for herself. She went with five
other friends. They walked around the cemetery and found her grave. I know her last name is Hoar, not sure of the first of the first name but it is something like Eliza. They didn't find any ghost though. So they
left the cemetery in a single file because of the narrowness of the path. My mom was second to last in line.
Suddenly the person behind her stopped, so she turned to see why and saw what he saw ... the ghost. They
ran like hell. This ghost is also known to hitch hike. Some friends of a friend were driving down the road on this particular night. It was raining and
they saw a young lady in a dress standing by the road. It was close to prom season so they just assumed that her date had ditched her. They
stopped and offered her a ride. She got in the back seat. They asked her where she wanted to go and she said it was on the road and she would tell them when they got there. They asked her again about a mile down the road but she said she would let hem know. Another mile down the road
they passed the cemetery and turned to ask her again but she was gone.
